About Westminster Bookstore

Westminster Bookstore is the campus bookstore for Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. While we exist to provide textbooks and resources for our students and faculty, our mission extends to serving the broader church of Jesus Christ.

Product Disclaimer

While we primarily seek to promote the best available Reformed titles, we also stock many titles and resources with which we, as Reformed Christians, would take serious and sharp disagreement. We make such books available not to endorse their content, but so that the church and its leaders may inform themselves of important issues in the life of the church, the academy, and the world. Other titles may seem acceptable to some Reformed Christians but not to others. Also, since Westminster Bookstore serves as the campus store for Westminster Theological Seminary, we sometimes will carry a book only because it was assigned as a textbook in a class.

Wherever possible, we have tried to note in the product description that a particular book is being carried because of one of the above reasons.

We also try to distinguish between publisher descriptions, which will obviously be quite sympathetic, and staff reviews, which will seek to demonstrate a more discerning, confessionally-based read. With the continued success of the store we look forward to having the resources to do more 'critical' reviews.
