About the Author

Andrew Robert Fausset (1821 - 1910) was born in County Fermanagh and graduated from Trinity College, Dublin (BA, 1843). He was curate of Bishop Middleham, County Durham, from 1848 till 1859 and rector of St Cuthbert’s, York, from 1859 until his death. His works include The Englishman’s Critical and Expository Bible Cyclopedia and, with Robert Jamieson and David Brown, The Critical, Experimental and Practical Commentary on the Old and New Testaments (1871).The Trust publishes his Commentary on Judges (Geneva series).
