In this book, we will examine something that sets us off from the rest of creation, something we do repeatedly every day: we talk. This book, however, is different from most on the topic. It is not a discussion of the techniques and skills for effetive communication. Rather, it is the story of the great battle for our hearts that is the reason for our struggle with words. Yet there is more here than just an examination of the battle. We will also get a grasp of God's plan for out talk and celebrate his enabling presence.
About the Author: Paul David Tripp (M.Div., Philadelphia Theological Seminary; D.Min., Westminster Theological Seminary) is president of Paul Tripp Ministries whose mission is to educate and equip today's Christian by combining the in-depth study of God's Word with practical life application. Tripp, also a pastor with over fifteen years of pastoral ministry, is an adjunct Professor at Westminster Theological Seminary and adjunct faculty member at the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation in Glenside, Pennsylvania. He is the author of such best-selling titles as, Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands, Age of Oppurtunity, Lost in the Middle, How peole Change, and Relationships: A Mess Worth Making. Tripp has been married for 35 years and has four grown children.

About the Author: Paul Tripp is the president of Paul Tripp Ministries, a nonprofit organization, whose mission statement is "Connecting the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life." This mission leads Paul to weekly speaking engagements around the world. In addition to being a gifted communicator Paul is the Executive Director of the Center for Pastoral Life and Care in Fort Worth, Texas, and has taught at respected institutions worldwide. As an author, Paul has written many books on Christian Living that are read and distributed internationally. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Luella, and has four grown children.
