"This revision and expansion of the previously published New Geneva Study Bible (1995) finally provides a Reformed, NIV-based study Bible. Combined with the most widely used English translation are articles and notes from a Reformed perspective, embracing the 16th-century reaffirmation of such central biblical truths as sola Scriptura, sola gratia, sola fide, solus Christus, and soli Deo gloria. Especially encouraging is the inclusion of the Three Forms of Unity (Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort) and the Westminster Standards, cross-referenced throughout the notes. The notes and articles also incorporate insights from more recent scholarship, including redemptive-historical interpretation as associated with Geerhardus Vos, Herman Ridderbos, and Richard Gaffin. Re-edited under the leadership of Luder G. Whitlock and Richard L. Pratt, contributors include Westminster faculty past and present (Edmund Clowney, Raymond Dillard, Sinclair Ferguson, John Frame, Alan Groves, Tremper Longman, Dan McCartney, Vern Poythress, Moises Silva, and Bruce Waltke), Westminster graduates (Mark Futato, T. David Gordon, Wayne Grudem, R. Laird Harris, Kenneth Howell, Dennis Ireland, Dennis Johnson, Reggie Kidd, M. M. Kline, Donald Leggett, Dirk Odendaal, Jr., William VanGemeren, and Luder Whitlock), and other leading Reformed scholars. - Matt Harmon, Westminster Bookstore Staff
