Staff Review: Though it may scandalize his devotees, and the fault likely lies within myself, I find Edwards' writings difficult to enjoy. But, however difficult the literature produced by this biography's subject, Marsden's work is a page-turner.

Best of all, Marsden avoids a selective hagiographic approach that avoids Edwards' rough edges.
