"My God is True! is a unique book. Wolfe does not overwhelm you with speculations on the deep questions of "Why is there suffering?" or "Why Me?" but he also does not give you simple platitudes. Instead, he invites you into his own battle-story with cancer and simultaneously points you to trust in God, your Sovereign Creator.
"For Wolfe the ultimate struggle when facing cancer is the struggle that is common to every man and woman - the struggle to trust God. Wolfe never minimizes the reality of the physical and emotional suffering that cancer brings, rather he recognizes that real hope can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"Wolf brilliantly illustrates how easily we misplace our trust. He writes, "We put exclamation marks after the uncertain things, because we have managed to convince ourselves that they will certainly turn out in our favor . . .
