“Most of us struggle to incorporate the truth of the Bible regarding relationships. Powlison's follow-up to Seeing with New Eyes instructs how to lovingly weave such truth into personal interactions by demonstrating the person of Christ to those we seek to help. By wisely connecting scripture with practical living, he teaches how to ask questions that communicate care, how to examine our listening, and how best to be prepared to help others in need. Powlison's vision for biblical counseling is vividly portrayed in chapters such as "How Do You Help a 'Psychologized' Counselee?" and "Why I Chose Seminary for Counseling Training." While written for counselors, anyone interested in applying biblical truth to relationships will benefit from this book.”

“This wonderful volume from David Powlison is a gift to the body of Christ that will help us use God's Word more skillfully in what he calls 'significant, life-rearranging mutual counseling.' If we are really committed to genuine community in the church, this is the biblical pathway that will lead us there.”
