He Speaks to Me Everywhere: Meditations on Christianity and Culture
Listen a sermon by Phil Ryken entitled Cybersin. (The Gospel Coalition)
Publisher's Description
We often hear that Christianity relates to all of life. All of life? Would that include e-mail? DNA? T-Ball? April Fool’s Day?”
These topics and more are treated by Philip Ryken, who turns them into meditations on living the Christian life in a culture that has forgotten God, even though he rules just the same. This companion volume to My Father’s World explores the areas of politics, marriage, the arts, science, and many others.
Philip Graham Ryken is President of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He is Bible teacher for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, speaking nationally on the program Every Last Word. Dr. Ryken was educated at Wheaton College, Westminster Theological Seminary, and the University of Oxford, where he received his doctorate in historical theology. He and his wife, Lisa, have five children.
Endorsements (${ productEndorsements.length })
“Demonstrates, with a broad brush and brilliant flourishes, what the hymn writer so eloquently declared when he said, 'He speaks to me everywhere.' These casual, winsome, and informative chats about everyday things are a rich exhibition of the power of creational theology to remind us of the nearness of God, and that He is beautiful, true, and good.”
T. M. Moore
“Philip Graham Ryken’s meditations on Christianity and culture are a welcome antidote for the privatization and individualism of much of American Christianity. Ryken correctly emphasizes the need to think biblically about every sphere of life and provides an excellent example of how to do just that.”
Charles W. Colson
