Endorsements (${ productEndorsements.length })
“I first read this book while writing a paper in seminary about how the church was going to die if it didn't cease its old-fashioned views on gender and women and eldership. In reading it, I was persuaded that the Bible's view of mean and women—equal in personhood, but distinct in roles—was not restrictive but freeing. It is by applying the truths of this book that we have seen the gospel prevail in our city through the Journey Church and in our world through the Acts 29 Network.”
Darrin Patrick
Lead Pastor, The Journey, St. Louis, MO; author, Church Planter, and For the City
“Clear, biblical exposition and insightful application, combined with a gracious tone, make this book a rich, timeless resource to help followers of Jesus grapple with the significance and implications of mankind being created 'male and female.'...How we need to recover the beauty and goodness of what it means to put the gospel on display by embracing, delighting in, and living out God's amazing design for gender.”
Nancy Leigh DeMoss
author; radio host, Revive Our Hearts
“Whether read cover-to-cover or used as a reference volume, this book belongs in every church library and the collection of every church leader.”
Tim Challies
blogger; author
“Coming from a home where abuse and neglect were the norm, I was lost on what it meant to be a man, and how to interact with my wife and children. The book that you are holding in your hands was powerfully used by God to shape, chisel, and encourage me to love my wife 'as Christ loved the church' and to disciple my son and daughters into all that God has for them in Christ.”
Matt Chandler
Lead Pastor, The Village Church; President, Acts 29 Church Planting Network
“A faithful guide to understanding and applying the Bible's teaching on gender in our context today. There is no other book like it.”
Mark Dever
Senior Pastor, Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Washington, DC
