“This book truly delivers on a promise made in its opening pages: 'This handbook teaches how to study the Bible.' Like good tour guides, the authors wet us up to anticipate and participate, thereby enriching the learning and preserving the joy of personal discovery. They give us a 'heads up' on some of the challenges in each book and then suggest ways to approach and met those challenges. I'm glad to recommend this reference tool.”
Jan Howard
Midwest Director, Neighborhood Bible Studies
“ Ryken's Bible Handbook fulfills the Chines proverb "Give a a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed for him for a lifetime." Readers will learn to analyze and interpret the Bible for themselves, and so feed themselves and the church. Indispensable!”

“As a Bible teacher who seeks to help other believers study the Bible, I am always on the lookout for helpful Bible study aids. The new Ryken's Bible Handbook is among the best material I have found. “Ryken's Bible Handbook stands out as a well-packed, user-friendly help for studying and teaching the Bible. The handbook does not try to eliminate the hard work of Bible study, as some books on Scripture do, but rather offers resources for it. This is a truly educational treasure trove. All who aim to be discerning biblical Christians will appreciate it enormously.”
J. I. Packer
Professor of Theology, Regent College and author of Keep in Step with the Sprit
