This full–color guide teaches children about God’s design for men and women. In easy–to–understand language, parents will be able to teach their children how God made us in his image, how sin distorts God’s good design, and how they can pursue godly manhood and womanhood. Each chapter explores what the Bible teaches about husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, marriage and singleness, and more. As children discover the beauty in God’s design, they will learn to be thankful for how they are made and to glorify God in how they treat others of the same and different gender. Each chapter includes application questions and activities.

Westminster Bookstore Note: This book contains cartoon or artistic images of Jesus. There are many people in our constituency who, in a sincere effort to honor the second commandment, refrain from the use of any kind of drawings or pictures of Jesus, even if not intended for a worship context. Out of respect for those who take this position, we have sought to add a note to books in our children’s category which have drawings or depictions of Jesus so that they can factor that into their buying decisions, as they would if they could inspect the books physically.

Sally Michael is a cofounder of Truth78 and the author of a number of books and curricula for the spiritual development of children, including seven titles in the Making Him Known series. For sixteen years, Sally served as minister for children at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, under the leadership of John Piper and her husband, David. Sally and David live in Indianapolis. They enjoy spending time with their daughter Kristi, daughter Amy and her husband Gary, and their grandchildren.

Gary Steward (BA, South Dakota State University; Cert., The Bethlehem Institute; MDiv, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; ThM, Westminster Theological Seminary) is an adjunct faculty member at California Baptist University in Riverside, California, and at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He served as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, from 2004 to 2011, and is currently pursuing a PhD in church history and historical theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
