CCEF19 Bookstore Volunteers

The CCEF National Conference is a wonderful time of teaching, fellowship, and worship as many church leaders and members come together to encourage one another and become better equipped for providing Biblical care to those around them. This year’s conference, happening from October 11 - 13th, 2019 in Birmingham, AL is about Anxiety and the God of Peace

Our role as the bookstore is to recommend and provide biblically rich, theologically robust, and pastorally relevant books and resources to conference attendees in order to help them grow in their love for God and their ability to care for others well.

We rely on the help of many committed volunteers in order to make the conference bookstore a reality and in order to be able to serve conference attendees well. Would you consider serving conference attendees along with us this year in Birmingham? If you are 18 years or older and are able to serve according to the terms outlined below, you are eligible to be a volunteer.

VOLUNTEER TERMS

Availability:

In order to be eligible to volunteer, you MUST be available to serve a minimum of 12 hours between 8:00 am October 10, 2019 and 4:00 PM October 13, 2019. Volunteers are free to attend any conference session when they are not scheduled to serve. Additionally, most of our volunteer positions release volunteers to main sessions 10-15 minutes after the session begins. We just ask that volunteers come back to the bookstore a few minutes before the session ends.

Training:

Volunteers will be responsible for running a cash register, bagging, and/or re-stocking. We will have 30 minute training sessions on how to do these roles immediately before the start of your first shift.

Dress Code:

You will be given a t-shirt to wear during your shifts. We also recommend that you wear comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet most of the time.

Cancellation:

If an unforeseen circumstance arises and you need to cancel your volunteer commitment, please contact us no later than September 1, 2019. This will ensure that we have adequate time to find a replacement and will keep us from turning away potential volunteers if our needs have been met. Cancellation will forfeit your conference registration.

Accommodations:

Travel, lodging, and other expenses are the volunteer’s responsibility. You can find more information about discounted travel and lodging on the conference website

Volunteers receive:

  • Complimentary, non-transferable registration to the conference
  • A conference volunteer t-shirt (to be worn during your shifts)
