Petrus Van Mastricht

Petrus van Mastricht (1630–1706) was a Dutch Reformed theologian who taught at Frankfurt an der Oder, Duisburg, and Utrecht. His Theoretical-Practical Theology joins exegesis, doctrine, debate, and practice in every chapter. Jonathan Edwards rated it above every other book except the Bible.

Mastricht's one great book rewards slow reading. Get the complete 5-volume set, or start with Volume 1, his introduction to theology and Scripture.

Building the set one book at a time? Continue with Volume 2: Faith in the Triune God, Volume 3: The Works of God and the Fall of Man, and the later volumes. Compare other Puritan works sets or browse all Puritan books.
