“God gave us the Bible not just to inform our minds, but also to transform our hearts.” – John Piper
The Bible is the authoritative Word of God, so the life-giving truths we find in Scripture is sufficient for all matters of life and contains all that we need in order to know God’s will and live a life pleasing to Him. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
In your call to counsel, the Bible equips us for good works and gives us practical principles to help others live out in obedience to God. As we encourage others to surrender and submit to Scripture it will transform their hearts, which allows them to grow in spiritual maturity. My prayer is that this book will offer a simple and efficient way to gain understanding of God’s Word, strengthen the way you counsel and equip you to speak the truth in love. May you be blessed as you walk others through the Psalms, ministering in the relatable and raw moments of their story.
