Imago Dei: Little Seminary's Guide to the Image of God (Little Seminary)

Westminster Bookstore Note: This book contains cartoon or artistic images of Jesus. There are many people in our constituency who, in a sincere effort to honor the second commandment, refrain from the use of any kind of drawings or pictures of Jesus, even if not intended for a worship context. Out of respect for those who take this position, we have sought to add a note to books in our children’s category which have drawings or depictions of Jesus so that they can factor that into their buying decisions, as they would if they could inspect the books physically.

This colorful and creative board book explains to little ones in simple terms how each of us is made in God's image and therefore all equally worthy of love and respect.

 

Each one of us is specially imprinted with the Imago Dei, the image of God. This board book, part of the Little Seminary series for little ones, explores the many ways we reflect God's image and are His representatives here on earth. And because we are each a reflection of God, children will learn that people of all types and backgrounds are to be treated with equal love and kindness.

 

Coupled with vibrant illustrations that will capture kids' imaginations, Imago Dei will help kids begin to see their place in God's plan for humanity, build positive self-image, and open young eyes to the bigger world around them.

The Little Seminary series for children ages infant to four introduces little ones to complex theological concepts in a simple yet biblically accurate way, moving them closer toward a working knowledge of Christianity and a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

 

Ryan McKenzie is a former pastor with an MA in religion and currently works in Christian publishing. Ryan helped create Bible Infographics for Kids, an ECPA Gold Medallion winner for Young People’s Literature.
