Muslims and Christians at the Table: Promoting Biblical Understanding...
The main idea of the book is to promote a journey of understanding between Christians and Muslims.
Zaka and McDowell have produced a helpful introduction to the Islamic faith and a “how to” manual for Christians who desire to interact with and evangelize Muslims within the North American context. As the authors point out, the United States and Canada together have become a major center for intellectual ferment in the last few decades. Zaka and McDowell divide their book into four sections: (1) reasons for being interested in the Islamic faith and its adherents, (2) the historical and cultural background of Muslims, (3) theology of Islam, and (4) strategies for reaching Muslims. The authors provide helpful overviews of historical, cultural, and theological distinctives of Islam. The book is intended as a tool for evangelism. - Jeff Waddington - Westminster Bookstore Staff

“Rare are the books on Islam authored by people who combine extensive, personal experience with theological insight, integrity and grace. This is one of those rare books, and I heartily recommend it for use in churches, classrooms, and individual preparation for witnessing to Muslims.”
