Each story is true, and you can tell it too!

A world being created from nothing. A boy facing a giant on the battlefield. A Savior giving all for the people He loves. The Bible is full of incredible true stories that not only enthrall listeners but also connect them to the original Storyteller--God.
This unique Bible storybook helps you excel as a storyteller too, by offering:
  • Thirty-five engaging stories written specifically for reading aloud
  • Illustrations from more than thirty visual storytellers from around the world
  • Mid-story and follow-up questions to engage your listeners
  • Extra content and tips on how to be a better storyteller

Each story takes about five minutes to read aloud, perfect for sharing at the end of class or at the end of a long day. Together, the stories offer a cohesive retelling of the gospel, pointing children's hearts and minds to the greatest Storyteller of all.

Westminster Bookstore Note: This book contains cartoon or artistic images of Jesus. There are many people in our constituency who, in a sincere effort to honor the second commandment, refrain from the use of any kind of drawings or pictures of Jesus, even if not intended for a worship context. Out of respect for those who take this position, we have sought to add a note to books in our children’s category which have drawings or depictions of Jesus so that they can factor that into their buying decisions, as they would if they could inspect the books physically.

About the Author

Kathryn Butler (MD, Columbia University) is a trauma surgeon who left practice at Massachusetts General Hospital to homeschool her kids. She now writes regularly for Desiring God, The Gospel Coalition, and other ministries on the topics of faith, medicine, and the power of stories, and she's authored many books, including the middle-grade series The Dream Keeper Saga. Kathryn lives in the woods in northern Massachusetts with her husband, two kids, and two cats with Beatrix Potter-inspired names. When not writing articles and books out of joy for the Lord, she delights in leisurely hikes, strong coffee, vivid stories, and laughing out loud with her family.
