The Radical Book Bundle
The Radical Book for Kids is a fun-filled explorer’s guide to the Bible, church history, and life for boys and girls age 8 and up. Along with examining some of the most exciting realities in the universe, the handbook is vibrantly illustrated and chock-full of fun facts and ideas. Deep truths are communicated to elementary and middle-school aged kids while stimulating their curiosity and sense of adventure within a gospel-centered framework.
This power-packed book is “radical” in more ways than you might think! It is “radical” in the sense of the original meaning of the word, “going to the root or origin.” The Radical Book for Kids will take children on a fascinating journey into the ancient roots of the Christian faith. But it’s also “radical” in the more modern sense of being revolutionary. Kids read about men and women who learned to trust Jesus and stand for him—displaying radical faith—even when everything seemed against them.
But The Radical Book for Kids is also “radical”—meaning fun or cool—in the eyes of a child. Kids read about ancient weapons (and how to make one), learn about jewels, create pottery, discover ancient languages, use secret codes, locate stars, tell time using the sun, play a board game that’s 3,000 years old—and more.
Check out the table of contents, skip around, or read straight through. However a child chooses to explore it, The Radical Book for Kids will open new vistas for their imagination and help to make straight paths for their feet.
The Really Radical Book for Kids continues the exciting dive into the roots of the Christian faith started in The Radical Book for Kids. More Bible exploration, more history, more secret codes, and more faith-filled direction for how to live as a believer in the here and now.
Short chapters on a variety of topics will grab the interest of readers of all ages, from 8 to 80! Kids will learn about ancient kings, legendary battles, and fierce snakes and dragons. They'll discover unusual food to make, secret codes to break, fun crafts to try, and strange planes to fly. They'll also uncover exciting ways to read the Bible, factual reasons to believe, stunning truths about God, and incredible examples of "radical" men and women who have gone before them and trusted Jesus in challenging times.
The Really Radical Book for Kids by Champ Thornton will spark curiosity and a love for God's Word.

“Kids are curious. When they encounter something new, their first instinct is to pick it up, turn it upside down, poke it, and take it apart. In the process, they are learning what the world is like and how it works. In The Really Radical Book for Kids, Champ Thornton capitalizes on kids’ impulse to figure stuff out by dismantling it. But instead of showing them a mere ant hill or snakeskin, he invites them to examine the whole life of faith as it is laid out in the Bible and church history. The Really Radical Book for Kids gives kids tantalizing truths and fascinating hands-on activities that allow them to investigate Christian faith from every angle. It’s extremely fun. And, hopefully, having poked and prodded and disassembled, young readers will then begin to put the pieces back together—closing the pages of this book with a stronger understanding of what they believe, why they believe it, and how it relates to their next adventure.”
Megan Hill
Managing Editor, The Gospel Coalition; author of Meg Is Not Alone; pastor’s wife; mother of four

“I am always looking for that creative spark that creates conversation and simulates the desire to understand the Bible better. It is critical for this age group to achieve that. Im convinced that this book will provide an amazing conversation to help young people to go deeper in their faith. It will create vibrant faith with the centrality of scripture, generate an interest in theology and could build a great foundation for disciples in the future and living out Christian faith as a teenager. “The Radical Book for Kids is deceptively fun! While preteens are utterly enjoying themselves with the creative games, hands-on projects, laugh-out-loud jokes, and cool stories, Champ Thornton is radically discipling them with a crash course on Bible study methods, hermeneutics, church history, biblical theology, and Christian life and ethics. This is the kind of book that stealthily helps parents, pastors, and teachers make young followers for Jesus Christ.”

“Champ Thornton's The Radical Book for Kids is a wonderful presentation of core Christian truth and practice that stands out in both style and substance. I can immediately see many possible uses for this book, but I particularly commend it to parents as a fun way to talk about the faith with their kids. There is a feel of randomness in the selections of the topics, but I think that adds to the attractiveness of the book. Highly recommended.”

It is unlike anything I remember reading to my children. The scope and content are indeed radically different than the normal storytelling style of so many others.
