The photo above shows my oldest son nearly eight years ago—chubby, bald, serious, and pretending to read The Biggest Story ABCs. His entire theological vocabulary at the time was a delighted “Baby Jesus!” as we flipped through the pages. Fast-forward three years: Crossway released The Biggest Story Bible Storybook, and it instantly became a nightly staple. We read it so often that he memorized the entire “Valley of Dry Bones” story from Ezekiel 37—before he could even read a word on the page.
Earlier this year, in the Lord’s providence, an advance copy of the new Biggest Story Holy Bible arrived on the very week that chubby little two-year-old turned nine.
